Photographer Jerry Siegel explores identity and self-image in this compelling portrait series of Geraldine,
whom Siegel has photographed for the past year and a half at the same time each morning in a quick stop cafe in Birmingham,
Alabama. Both artist and subject challenge the viewer to consider the choices we make in presenting our own image to the world.
In Geraldine's case, her eccentric persona shines through loud and clear—each day's outfit more outrageous than the day
before—undaunted by how others might perceive her.
